ICS (Internet Connection Sharing)

I have PC and notebook, I need both computers to browse to internet. So I connect my PC and my notebook. Then I configure ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). I will use my notebook as Internet Gateway for my PC.

My internet connection is using CDMA GPRS connection with CDMA cellphone as modem. My notebook will dial the phone modem via Bluetooth connection.

Here are steps to configure ICS:

1. Enable ICS on dial up interface on notebook
   
• Open dial up interface property, on Advanced tab, check the box labeled with
  "Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet connection"
  
• On the box labeled with "Home Networking Connection", choose LAN interface that connects Notebook to PC

• Windows automatically assign IP Address 192.168.0.1/24 to LAN interface. (We can change to other IP address, but 192.168.0.1/24 is Window's default)

• To activate ICS, Windows will request notebook to restart. Restart the notebook.
  
  
2. Configure LAN interface on PC
   

• Assign IP Address 192.168.0.2/24 to PC's LAN interface
  (the connection can be made if the IP address both side is in the same network,
  192.168.0.1/24 and 192.168.0.2/24 is in the same network that is 192.168.0.0/24)
  
  We can use other IP addresses as long as both side (PC and notebook) in the same network.

3. Configure internet connection setting on PC
   
• With ICS, all application on PC needs no proxy to connect to internet.
  Below is the internet connection setting in IE:

Finally, I can browse internet not only from the notebook, but also from PC. Wanna try it?

Heroes dan Prison Break ditayangkan di Indonesia

Menyusul kiprah Indosiar yang menayangkan Desperate Housewives, drama serial terkenal Amerika produksi ABC, dipastikan ada dua serial populer Amerika lagi yang akan ditayangkan di Indonesia. Stasiun TV Amerika memang selalu serius dalam menggarap program serial televisinya sehingga tidak heran serial-serial tersebut dikenal dan diputar di negara-negara lain.

Heroes aslinya diputar oleh NBC, mulai tahun 2006, Dalam waktu dekat Serial ini akan dapat dinikmati pemirsa Indonesia melalui TransTV dengan jadual tayang Senin sampai dengan Kamis setiap jam 18:00 WIB mulai 6 Agustus 2007.

Sedangkan Anteve tidak kalah aksi juga dalam waktu berdekatan akan menayangkan Prison Break yang di Amerika diputar oleh FOX sejak 2 tahun lalu.

Escrava Isaura

Wah akhirnya nemu juga video telenovela Brazil ini di Youtube. Escrava Isaura (Isaura The Slave) seperti judulnya nyeritain tentang budak kulit putih bernama Isaura. Kangen deh dan penasaran ama endingnya, rada lupa soalnya dulu nonton pas jaman SD. Dari seluruh episode yang diupload ke Youtube, aku baru nonton 18 episode. Brp episode total ya?

Telenovela ini dibuat tahun 1976. Wajah Isaura (Lucelia Santos) dan Leoncio (Leopoldo Pacheco) sangat khas dan gak terlupakan. Both characters were a little bit love-and-hate related, did u think?

Tau dari Youtube juga, ternyata telenovela yang diangkat dari novel karya Bernardo Guimaraes ini diremake dengan judul Isaura la Esclava. At a glance I don't like this version, in my terms its lady dress-style is woman exploitation.

   Good: how to erase your (brain) memory? just watch this.., you always fall in love with same person despite how hard you try forgetting, because love is not in brain but in heart.
